"Items to take List" (previously this was a LLLOOONNNGGG list on this page - now in PDF format!). Check out the list - if you would like to add to the list, send me a note. I will post updates on this page temporarily, and add them permanently to the PDF document. HINTS last updated: 21 June 2005
In my "free
time" I have been looking at the suggested lists and added some experience and
come up with some "What to bring" sheets. These are not polished as there is
redundancy in some of the lists from national. These are also available with
graphics on a Word Document if you'd like to customize. Let me know if I should
add or delete anything. Leader stuff lists are coming soon.
Only thing
I will be taking is ‘Extra Water “ to Show. Also, In 97 when we had to be
there an extra hour waiting for the area to be fixed up for the President…
We sat in the hot sun for an hour ! I was commish for a troop from New
Jersey who had given me deck of cards from a casino.. It had a hole drilled
thru the deck I gave them away to entertain a nice group of boys who were
sitting in front of me. ( they were starting to get restless ) Be sure to
Take your rain coat / poncho in your day Pack wherever you go. ( Never know
when & where…

) Plan on living in a large tent for the jamboree? I would be glad to email plans for a tent platform that folds to 4 foot by 4 foot for transport and will keep you nice and dry during the jamboree. Includes a clothes closet (well a rod to hang your clothes). File is Microsoft Word format, also available as a Microsoft Visio file. Specify when you request plans. If these formats won't work, let me know and we can try to create other formats. Ripped from Jamboleader as posted by Mike Schatzberg (Plans link below) Instead of buying a cot organizer from Cabella’s (Item #7 on the “Helpful Hints” list), you may want to consider bringing along a ( 1 or more) carpenter’s nail apron instead, to store those little bedside items (glasses, flashlight, etc.). They’re a lot cheaper than the cot organizer, especially since I was able to get my local hardware store to donate a few to me before the last Jambo. for a Patrol Box, provided by Bill Dunn.
