On My Honor - Timeless Values

40,000 Scouts and Leaders will converge on the greatest event in Scouting on July 25, 2005. For two weeks in July and August the National Scout Jamboree site at Fort A.P. Hill in Caroline County, Virginia, will be a small city teaming with excited Scouts participating in great events. This small Scouting city will have daily newspapers, daily events, thousands of participation opportunities, and over 17,000 tents of every shape and color. There will be hundreds of special contingent gateways, thousands of patrol kitchens, and of course there will be trading posts and refreshment centers. Scouts and leaders will find a bus system, telephones, an onsite hospital, first aid stations, police and fire departments, post offices, food warehouses. All of this is aimed at making sure that this extraordinary events is fun, safe, and secure.
